ESP3 Finishes The Series of FGD on “Support to Monitoring and Estimation of Energy Conservation Policies Impact” in Transportation and Household Sector

 On April 5, 2017 Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Transportation and Households sectors was held as another milestone achieved for “Support to Monitoring and Estimation of Energy Conservation Policies Impact” project. To support Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) in estimating the effects of energy conservation policies and collecting data from four different sectors (household, building, industry, transportation) is necessary to form an energy model to rely upon. The Indonesian Institute for Energy Economics (IIEE) plays consultancy role in this project.

Copenhagen Zoo Donates 15 camera traps to Hutan Harapan

The ESP3 programme has been very pleased to establish contact between the Hutan Harapan management team and Copenhagen ZOO in Denmark. The contact resulted in a donation of 15 camera traps to the Hutan Harapan research and monitoring department. Thereby the department is now able to continue its very important monitoring of wildlife. The camera traps will help monitor wildlife such as tiger, tapir and elephant. The donation is highly appreciated as the cameras make it possible to follow the effect of different forest management measures on the wildlife populations.

Energy Efficiency Program Launched for Central Java Schools

An energy efficiency awareness and training program for Central Java secondary schools was launched on Thursday, 2/2/2017 in Semarang. The launching was attended by representatives of the ministries and provincial agencies for Energy and Mineral Resources, Environment and Forestry, and Education, as well as for 10 selected schools from Semarang, Magelang, and Surakarta cities.
